Have you ever dreamed of sprinting on the Champs-Élysées in Paris on the final day of Le Tour de France? Have you ever wondered if you’d survive riding the punishing cobbles of a long one-day monument race like Paris-Roubaix? Have you ever contemplated what it takes to survive a full race calendar spanning 8 months?
Now is your chance!
What is ECRO?
The E-Cycling Race Organization (ECRO) is an online platform hosting an 8-month race calendar shadowing the UCI Pro Tour. It includes one day events, week long stage races, and the gruelling 3 week grand tours. ECRO course profiles are closely matched to their pro tour counterpart, in Zwift-sized (~1 hour) chunks. If pro tour riders have a flat course, ECRO will too. If they encounter two Cat 1 climbs concluding with a mountain top finish, ECRO riders will be climbing in/out of the saddle all day as well. ECRO races are not for the faint of heart… or legs. Tough but manageable, the ’25 ECRO version of the Tour de France (Chasing Yellow) featured ~20% of the distance and ~22% of the total elevation gain of the real in-life event.
All events are scratch races (except for iTTs), there are no powerups, and results are based on the vELO categorisation for both women and men.
One of the most challenging aspects of the series is that all categories start at the same time from the same pen (mass start), meaning you can measure yourself against all categories if you choose. There are multiple start times to accommodate riders from all over the world with ECRO utilising their 'eGAP system' as a relative means of deriving an overall leader across all those start times.

Coalition ECRO Teams
The team competition in ECRO was a new addition to the series for 2025. While riders can race in any event or the whole series as an individual, riding with/for a team is equally as rewarding but much more strategic. It is arguably much more fun, and brings the whole pro tour-like experience to whole new level!
Coalition fielded three teams, each with a different spread of ZwiftRacing vELO categories:
- PROTO – Diamond / Ruby / Emerald
- NEURO – Ruby / Emerald / Sapphire
- XENO – Sapphire / Amethyst / Platinum / Gold / Silver
With individual and team successes throughout the season Coalition riders represented the team extraordinarily well and upheld our reputation for fair racing, fierce competition, teamwork, and having the most fun.
